Many have you will have seen recent press articles on the matter of Elfbar 600 compliance on the UK market and subsequently have been asking our staff about it.
We decided to help answer those questions by giving you information direct from the source and not from scare-mongering media outlets.
The manufacturer of ELF Bar 600 products has released the statement below. As outlined, the manner in which the withdrawal is enacted, and the timelines, will be subject to agreement with Trading Standards in a meeting to take place next week.
Vapella will update our customers in due course, when that information becomes available.
We would like to stress a point made by Elfbar in this official statement:
“…have found that some products exceeded the permitted e-liquid fill level. Although this issue means the products are not compliant in full with UK regulations, we did not find any issues with nicotine strength, or anything that might mean the products’ safety is compromised in any way.”
This has been followed up by MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) who are an executive agency, sponsored by the Department of Health and Social Care, agreed:
“…that despite these shortcomings, they did not believe that the non-compliance presents any issues of safety, but is nevertheless a contravention of UK regulations.”
If you are still in doubt or have any other queries please don’t hesitate to contact our staff, who will be happy to speak to you, in stores or via social media platforms.
